Canadian farmland is disappearing at a rapid rate and too many of the foods that we eat come from questionable sources.  Many of the foods found in big chain grocery stores have been produced outside of Canada under situations where quality control is minimal or non-existent. 

The food is sometimes grown, picked and packed by underpaid farm hands working in sub-standard conditions. Frequently those foods travel hundreds to thousands of miles, losing valuable nutrients along the way, to reach Canadian grocery store shelves.

Good 4 You & Planet 2 believes this is simply not a sustainable way to eat.  Not only does it cheat Quesnel consumers out of essential food nutrients, it promotes poor earth management practices and encourages further loss of local farmland.
